Job Summary

In the Product Owner role, you will be involved in all aspects of the product development process from discovery to delivery. You will work directly with stakeholders, developers, and UI/X to ship meaningful products. We are seeking candidates with an innovation mindset and experience delivering product in Agile environments. Applicants should be driven to push boundaries while ruthlessly prioritizing requests and meeting deadlines.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with the business stakeholders, developers, UI/X team, and other product owners to execute the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Ensure appropriate research and analysis is completed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to a cross-functional team on sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and maintaining/controlling a backlog.
  • Writing effective epics, stories, and use cases that address underlying problems and needs.
  • Define and instrument success criteria that is measured via qualitative and quantitative feedback.
  • Work with developers to manage and prioritize technical debt.
  • Manage an effective and groomed backlog.
  • Clearly define Acceptance Criteria and on time delivery to meeting commitments.
  • Well experienced in Agile Processes management and cross-functional communication.
  • Driven toward continuous improvement.

Previous Experience:

  • Proficiency in a wide range of tools and software used in product management.
  • Comfortable working in highly collaborative environments.
  • Experience working closely in cross-disciplinary teams, including Business Analysts and Developers, to manage products through the SDLC.
  • Basic understanding of trends and best practices in multi-channel marketing.
  • Practical knowledge of agile methodologies, product development, usability testing, and UX/UI.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CMS solutions and maximizing them for efficiency and reusability.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 2+ years managing moderate to high complexity agile projects.
  • Product Owner and / or Agile certifications such as Scrum Alliance, PMI, SAFe a plus.
  • Scrum and Atlassian (Jira / Confluence) experience preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with and leading distributed teams.
